Request new features for NConf

escalations

Postby kptkill » Sat Jan 21, 2012 06:06

Are there any plans to implement service/host escalations? I feel this is the one thing holding me back from switching from Monarch/(Groundwork)

Hi.

Escalations are more or less the last things that are still missing in NConf. They are definitely on the roadmap, but I cannot tell you in which release exactly we are going to implement them. So far we have not gotten a lot of requests from the community, so it's definitely not very high priority.

Add my vote to raise the priority level of escalations. I'm just beginning to convert our distributed icinga configuration to nconf, and would like to include escalations. Thanks

@pebr Thanks. I'll give it a try.

@developers: Yes, please! Please consider adding this feature even if you think that there is low feedback coming from the community. This will be a very good feature for drawing more attention to Nconf. I'd like to see the community to broaden.

The lack of escalations is the only reason I'm not implementing nconf. I'm following this site for years ... putting escalations in the code would give nconf a boost !

Not everybody uses escalations :) Maybe someone can write this module and share it with the community? It's PHP, nothing hard, even I managed to submit a few lines of patches.
