Post by winofchina » Tue May 05, 2009 11:11

When I generate nagios confi, the page shows error: Error accessing or executing Nagios binary '/usr/local/nagios/bin'
SELinux is disabled on my server.When I run this command:chcon -R -t httpd_sys_content_t /usr/local/nagios/bin/
It echos: chcon: can't apply partial context to unlabeled file

Why? Any help appreciated!

Hi everybody!
I have the same problem, but on FreeBSD, so I have no SELinux.

Generating config:
Error accessing or executing Nagios binary '/usr/local/bin/nagios'
Running tests:
Default_collector: Error generating config

I have the following rights for the nagios binary:

ls -l /usr/local/bin/nagios
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 537592 May 7 11:33 /usr/local/bin/nagios

Any ideas?

just put the nagios binary into your /nconf/bin/.
on gentoo i think it was /usr/sbin/nagios, then copy this to your /var/www/nconf/bin/ and set rights.
should work for you.
