Can't seem to find the config options for escalations, is escalation support already build in?

Hi.

No, there are no escalation attributes defined yet. This should not be difficult to add though.
If you have time, you could try adding the required attributes via the GUI and generating the config.

Let me know if it works without doing any extensions to the code.

But an host escalation in my configuration f.e. looks like:

define hostescalation{
hostgroup_name plesk_servers
first_notification 4
last_notification 0
contact_groups support_escalation
notification_interval 5
}

or

define serviceescalation{
hostgroup_name plesk_servers
service_description HTTP
first_notification 4
last_notification 0
contact_groups support_escalations
notification_interval 5
}

I can add an extra escalation contact_group to a hostgroup via the attributes admin but I'm not really sure how to 'write' a separate configuration like this? Any HOWTO's online for that stuff?

Ah, I understand. That would be a totaly new item class, which you would like to write to a separate file.
It is possible today to add these new items to the database, but the generate_config script would have to be extended manually to generate the new files. With the next version we are planning to make this more dynamic, so that new classes of items can be added over the GUI.

Please refer to this thread for further info (note that we do not recommend editing scripts on your own, because there might be changes in the upcoming versions):
