starting nconf

Post by Konsultor » Wed Jan 23, 2013 18:31

 Noob here, with the ultimate basic question: How does one start nconf (on openSuse 12.2 64-bit with KDE)? Most apps I control by setting run levels in the system control panel, but nconf isn't listed even though it was installed from openSuse repos. My guess is that one of the scripts is to be started first, but I have not identified which one that is.
Before you laugh at me too much, consider that by the time I graduated from college (in physics) the only computer I programmed had rows of 12AX7 dual-triode vacuujm tubes across the top.
Thanks for not laughing out loud.
PS: Next questions will be about running nconf with icinga rather than nagios. :)

You don't start it, it is a site within apache. If you can't browse to the server at all, start with starting apache :)
