INSTALL.php fails -Check if config files are present

Post by ved » Fri Aug 17, 2012 22:01

Hi ,

I am installing nconf for the first time , unfortunately i am stuck @ this step . :(
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Check if config files are present

Create basic settings

Creating basic settings for NConf

copy config file (.file_accounts.php) FAILED
copy config file (authentication.php) FAILED
copy config file (main.php) FAILED
copy config file (mysql.php) FAILED
copy config file (nconf.php) FAILED

Check if your webserver can handle these:

Check if config/ is writable for your webserver
Check if config.orig is readable..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the config and config.org has all the permission.
[root@guest1 nconf]# ls -l | grep config
drwxrwxrwx. 2 root apache 4096 Aug 18 06:33 config
drwxrwxrwx. 2 root root 4096 Aug 17 10:23 config.orig..

Can some one let me know where i am goin wrong..
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Do you have a security mechanism like SELinux or AppArmor activated?
Is there anything in Apache error_log?

Ok , There were few permission issues , also SELINUX was enforcing , fixed both .Don't know which one did the trick but its working now. :)

Thanks
