Commands directory

Post by yaka2b » Sat Feb 25, 2012 00:39

Hi

Many thanks for releasing this GPL.

Nconf Installed on Debian -6 : Squeeze , works like a charm as far as creating devices .

Devices created in nconf, appear in nagios.

But there are no service checks. Status just says pending.

I suspect its unable to find the directory to the commands.

All my check_ commands located in /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/

Where do I tell nconf about this ??

Hi,

If Nagios can't find the check commands, the check result is "critical" or "unknown", not pending.

You can define the path to your plugins in NConf via "Additional Items" - "Checkcommands". The path is defined in under "check command line" - you can specify the full path here or use $USER1, which is defined in /etc/nagios3/resource.cfg:

Code: Select all

$USER1$=/usr/lib64/nagios/plugins
To solve your pending issue, I require more information:
Do you have one nagios server or a distributed setup?
Did you disable active checking in nagios.cfg?
Did you disable active checking in NConf?
Did you specify a check period and check interval in NConf?

Regards,
René

Regret delay in replying.

Problem resolved.

I had not set the check time parameters.

Works great now.

Cheers
