Problems with authentification after upgrade

Post by brom » Tue Dec 27, 2011 16:01

Hello,

I have upgraded nconf from 1.2.6 to 1.3.0. All users from GROUP_USER can login into nconf admin area, but can't do anything. "You don't have permission to access this page!" is returned. I'm using "file" AUTH_TYPE
In the same time all users from GROUP_ADMIN can perform all the things.
I have turned On debug, there are two alerts:

Item authorization [UNKNOWN(NOT TESTED)]: Checks if you are allowed to access the item
URL ACL status [FAILED]:
[...]
ACL: Access denied

please help. Let me know if any additional infos needed.

Hi

Did you changed once the user related classes? Or are you using default NConf behaviour? (Users have only access to Basic Items)
Can you please have a look into the debug info before ACL Access denied?

Its called:
URL ACL feedback

Perhaps the NCONFDIR is wrong or something similar.

Hi,
No, I didn't changed classes. Yes, default. Users can access only basic items.
NCONFDIR is valid. But SERVER script_name doesn't contain full path. Is this ok? In my case value is "/conf/index.php" I have nconf installed in the DOCUMENT_ROOT/conf
DOCUMENT_ROOT is valid.

Hi,
All users from GROUP_USER can login into nconf admin area, but can't do anything. "You don't have permission to access this page!"
Your problem might be somehow similar to this one:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=856
Could you try the provided fix, and let us know if it fix your problem?

Yannick

patch is helped. But one more thing, all users can't perform deploy operation, the same "You don't have permission to access this page!"
Thanks

Hello,

I must return to this issue. "users" can't perform "clone" under "hosts" section. "You are not authorized to access this item" is showing.
Thanks.

unfortunately solution is not help. If I press directly "clone" button It show "You are not authorized to access this item". Users with admin rights have no this issue

Hi,
Could you tell me what the URL of the page is when you face the message "You are not authorized to access this item"?
Should be something like:

Code: Select all

http://myserver/clone_host.php?................
http://myserver/subfolder/clone_host.php?................
Also, are you facing some other permission problems with "standard user" accounts?

BR,
Yannick

Hi,

URL is http://myserver/subfolder/clone_host.php?id=undefined

I have not received complaints from users about other problems. At the present moment.

Thanks

Hi

How did you get to this URL?
The id is undefined, so this is the problem...

Hi,

Hosts --> Show --> "Clone" button --> copy/paste here URL from address bar. Users with admin right have the same URL, but things are works. Or I should always mark checkbox with host to clone first? As far as I remember in the previous version it worked without this. Exactly as for the admin users in the current version. Admins can "directly" press button without checkbox. And then choose host to clone and new hostname etc.

Thanks.
