AD Authentication

Post by rweiss » Thu Dec 15, 2011 15:07

Hello,

i was really looking forward for the AD Authentication.
Today i was able to try out the new 1.3.0 version of nconf.

But i cannot authenticate to the domaincontroller.

This is the debugmessage i receive:
ldap bind: Can not connect to active directory server
error message: Invalid credentials

I try to authenticate to a Win2008 DC.

authentication.php
##############
### Active Directory
define('AD_LDAP_SERVER', "ldap://dcXX");
define('AD_LDAP_PORT', "389");
define('AD_BASE_DN', "CN=<username>,OU=XXX,OU=OOO,DC=EEE,DC=AAA");
define('AD_USER_REPLACEMENT', "<username>");
define('AD_GROUP_ATTRIBUTE', "memberof");
define('AD_USERNAME_ATTRIBUTE', "displayname");
define('AD_GROUP_DN', "OU=XXX,OU=OOO,DC=EEE,DC=AAA");
define('AD_ADMIN_GROUP', "CN=GL_nconf");
define('AD_USER_GROUP', "CN=GL_icinga_user");
############

Seems like i cannot bind to AD. But no options for bindusers and/or binduser...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT:

in fact it seems i AM able to authenticate,
but only with full name "GIVENNAME SURNAME", which i would like to be "SURNAME_G"...

So again,

Any Ideas? ;)

Hey

This is user contributed content (AD support) I don't have any.
Do you have this username you like to check in a different place than CN (the "SURNAME_G" one) ? so then just change that, I guess...
