I want to begin, how uninstall nconf completely

Post by dmaeztu » Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:52

Hello I'm a beginner user, my Nagios 3.2 is working right but I can't get nconf and nagios working, first of all I had problems with MySql and now I don't know what I've done but every time nconf get more errors.

I want uninstall nconf completely and begin at the begin.

I don't find any guide to do that, somebody can tell me where can I do.

Thank you.

Delete and recreate your database, the permissions should remain:

DROP DATABASE nconf;
CREATE DATABASE nconf;

Delete the whole nconf/ folder, download NConf again, unpack it, start new installation process...
Delete any config files you have already deployed to Nagios.

OK, thak you, only one question,

where should I install nconf? Which is the path to install?

If you see this manual, it doesn't say the path neither which is the file to install.

Thanks again.

The NConf archive you download has to be unpacked in your webserver's htdocs / webroot directory. Depending on your OS distribution this might be something like "/var/www/html" or similar.

Once the archive is unpacked and accessible by web, go to http://your.webserver/nconf/INSTALL.php
