Check Interval

Post by def103 » Fri Oct 30, 2009 13:39

I have a question.

I want to change the check-host-alive to a different check period than for example check_cpuload.

Now you can change it in services and than select another time period at check interval. But if i have 500 hosts i have to manually change all those 500 services from these hosts.
You can also change this at host level but than you change the check period for all services under that host.

Is there an easy way to change this ?

Hi.

Two comments:
When you change the "check_period" of a host, NConf will ask you if you want to apply the change to the services too, or not. By default it will not modify the services.

If you'd like to change the "check_period" of multiple hosts or services at once, you can use the "multi-modify" feature which is located in the "advanced" tab of the host / service overview. Changing 500 items is not a problem.
